Question: activation of alarm system

The alarm system on my 1999 300E does not work. Is there a code I can enter to activate it. Also, how do I turn off the service due warning

the alarm system in your car must be malfunctioning or have a bad ground, it is necessary to bring it into an alarm shop or the dealer to fix this problem since a regular mechanics shop wont even touch this system of the car since it is a mercedes operated computer system. For the service due warning lamp you need a computer resetter tool with a mercedes oem service hook which is usually under the hood with a round screwing cover. Most service stations have this tool, but I would advise you to go to one that has been out there for a while since a regular jiffy lube type has inexperienced guys who most of the time do not know how to do it. Most places will reset it free of charge with an oil change.

Getting rid of the maintenace warning is in the manual that came with the car, My daughter now has my 99 E, so I do not have the manual, but it has to with putting the key in a certain position and then press a button. It is easy to clear and there is no need for a computer resetter tool. I did it many times myself.

As for the alarm, I am not sure
