Question: Expensive battery

I have a 2002 Mercury Sable, my battery went dead. I took it in to a shop and was told that with my car, only a "special" battery would fit, so I was given a 150.00 84 month battery. Being that I needed the car pronto- I said ok. But now that was yesterday and I'm thinking this through. Is it true?

True, you were a bit overcharged. That battery should have cost about $100, the most and labor about $30 most.
