Question: How does the hood open on a 1958 jaguar?
I have pulled the interior lever to "pop" the hood, but it didn't budge. Does it have a latch on the outside? Does it open in reverse like a 1967?

The hood opens in the traditional fashion, front first. have a friend push slightly down on the front of the hood while you again pull the release handle. This may take some pressure off of the latch and allow it to release. If all goes well it should raise up 2 inches and allow you to reach under the hood to press the safety latch.
