Question: Park switch problem?
Only sometimes, turn the key in the ignition and nothing happens but the gauges come on, no starter, no solenoid click, nothing. If I move the shift lever out of and back into park a few times, it will usually turn over and start. Sometimes it takes several atempts. Is that a park switch down on the transmission causing the problem or could it be something within the steering column? Is there a switch or sensor in the steering column? Or could it be an ignition switch problem? Moving the shift lever to neutral and trying it doesn't make any difference.
